Force if neccesary game with Central Missouri tomorrow

St. Charles, Mo. – Third seeded Washburn tied the game in the bottom of the ninth and then walked off to force a second game with a 2-1 win against top seeded Central Missouri in the MIAA Baseball Tournament.
 
Bennett Oliver got the scoring started for the Mules depositing a home run over the right field fence in the top of the second.
 
Washburn tied the game in the bottom of the eighth inning as Lance Barkley grounded out to score Cole Garner.
 
Washburn got the game-winning run in the bottom of the 11th in walk-off fashion as Lance Barkley singled to drive in David Gauntt.
 
For the Ichabods Parker Gibson went three for five and Barkley finished with two runs driven in. For the Mules Jackson Schnurbusch had the only multiple hit game going two for four on the afternoon.
 
On the mound Greg Mason picked up the victory going 2.2 innings of relief allowing no hits and striking out one.
 
The two teams will meet again tomorrow at 9 a.m. with a spot in the MIAA Championship game on the line from Lou Brock Sports Complex in St. Charles, Mo.
