Kansas City, Mo. –
Central Oklahoma shot nine over par on the final day to claim the men’s title, while Northeastern State won the women’s title shooting a 29 over on the final day of the MIAA Men’s and Women’s Golf Tournament.
 
Northeastern State claimed the women’s title by 20 strokes shooting 58 over par over three days at the par 72, 5,893 yard Swope Memorial Golf Course. Central Oklahoma was second at 78 over par and Lindenwood finished third at 104 from par at the par 72, 6,977 yard Tiffany Greens Golf Course.
 
Baylee Price was four over par on the final day to finish three over for the tournament and claim the MIAA title. Elizabeth Leath of Central Missouri shot 14 over par to finish second. Ebba Moberg of Northeastern State and Camilla Schou of Central Oklahoma each shot 16 over to tie for third. In a tie for fifth place were Central Oklahoma’s Marla Souvannasing and Lindenwood’s Madelyn Piccinni rounding out the All-Tournament team.
 
In the men’s tournament Central Oklahoma held off Lindenwood for first place shooting 18 over par for the tournament while Lindenwood finished at 27 from par. Central Missouri was third at 28 over par.
 
Blake Lammers cared a 78 on the final day to finish six under par for the tournament, the only player below par. Logan Gray of Central Oklahoma and Lane Pauls of Fort Hays State both carded one under par rounds to finish one over for the weekend. Rounding out the top five were Ryan Dyck of Lindenwood, Cameron Hamilton of Missouri Southern and Teddy Jones of Central Missouri finish tied for fourth.

Central Oklahoma also earned the MIAA regular season championship behind the strength of their conference tournament finish. Central Missouri's Teddy Jones was named the MIAA Player of the Year for his performance over the MIAA designated events. The women's All-MIAA team will be announced later next week.
 
Team's will now await the announcement of the field for the NCAA Regional Tournament which will be announced on Friday.
