Kansas City, Mo. – Nebraska-Kearney shot .529 from the field as they knocked off Missouri Southern 80-61 to earn their first trip to the MIAA Men’s Basketball Championship.
 
For the Lopers Connor Beranek had a double-double scoring 35 points and pulling down a game high 13 rebounds. Ty Danielson added 17 points and Lane Rohrich added 11 points with Ethan Brozek dishing out six assists.
 
For the Lions Taevaunn Prince had a double-double scoring 15 points and pulling down 12 rebounds. DJ Fietl hit four from long range and added 19 points while Charlie Brown finished with 12 points on the night.
 
The Lions will face off with the winner of #1 Northwest Missouri and #4 Fort Hays State at 3:30 p.m. in the MIAA Championship game from Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Mo.
