Kansas City, Mo. – Top seeded Northwest Missouri used an 11-0 run early in the second half to build a lead, then held off a strong Lindenwood comeback to win 62-57 in the quarterfinals.
For the Bearcats Justin Pitts led the way with 22 points while dishing out a team best six assists. Chris Ndow added 13 points and six rebounds as Brady Dougerty had 10 points and Zach Schneider pulled down eight rebounds.
For the Lions Cory Arentsen had a game high 34 points pulling down a team best six rebounds on the night. Brad Newman finished with eight points and dished out a team best three assists.
NWMSU will face off with the winner of #4 Fort Hays State and #5 Central Oklahoma at 8:15 p.m. on March 5 from Municipal Auditorium.
