Earn 82-70 quarterfinal victory over MWSU

Kansas City, Mo. – Third seeded Missouri Southern used two separate runs of six or more to edge Missouri Western 82-70 in quarterfinal action in the MIAA Men’s Basketball Tournament.
 
For the Lions Taevaunn Prince led the way with 31 points and eight rebounds while also dishing out a team best three assists. DJ Feitl scored 18 points and Charlie Brown added 17 points on the afternoon.
 
For the Griffons Aaron Emmanuel led the way scoring 23 points and dishing out a game high six assists. Miles Wenzien finished with 12 points and a team best seven rebounds and Cole Clearman added 11 points.
 
MSSU will face the winner of #2 Nebraska-Kearney and #7 Lincoln in the first of two semifinals at 6 p.m. on March 5 from Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Mo.
