Kansas City, Mo. --
Four of the nation's top 25 teams will take to the mat as the MIAA Wrestler Championships takes place in St. Charles, Mo. on Feb. 14 with matches to begin at 10 a.m.

Team Capsules
Central Missouri
Central Missouri went 1-4 in duals this season and have one wrestler ranked in the top eight at his weight class.
Wrestlers to watch: Archie Williams - At 175 pounds has gone 23-7 this season which currently ranks him #8 in his weight class
Nicholas Lovejoy - At 285 pounds has a record of 15-12 tih five pins and one tech fall
Robert Schneider - At 197 pounds has a team best nine pints scoring 16 points on the year second to only Williams who had 58.5 points on the year.
           
Central Oklahoma
Central Oklahoma went 4-1 in league duals with their only loss coming to #5 Nebraska-Kearney. Went 12-5 in duals despite not having a nationally ranked wrestler on the roster.
Wrestlers to watch: Danny Carrillo - At 165 pounds is 26-8 on the year with four pins and three wins by major decision
Spencer Rutherford - At 149 pounds has a 28-9 record with nine pins and four technical falls
Joshua Ailey - At 141 pounds has a team best 11 pins going 17-7 overall on the year
Mason Thompson - At 174 pounds went 25-10 with eight pins adding five decisions by either tech fall or major victory
Blake Dauphin - At 133 pounds went 20-10 with three pins and five wins by major decision

Fort Hays State
Fort Hays State went 2-3 in MIAA duals this season and are receiving votes in the latest national poll. The Tigers currently feature one wrestler ranked nationally in his weight class.
Wrestlers to watch: Jon Inman - Currently ranked #6 in the nation a 184 pounds where he has a 29-1 overall record including 13 falls, three technical falls and four major decisions
Adam Ludwin - At 125 pounds has a 20-8 record overall with four pins and four major decisions
Cash Drylie - At 197 was an MIAA Wrestler of the Week
Noah Killip - At 157 pounds has a 14-3 record with three pins and three major decisions

Lindenwood
Lindenwood went 3-2 in league duals this season and are currently ranked #10 in the country. They currently have three wrestlers ranked in the top eight in their respective weight class including one top ranked wrestler.
Wrestlers to watch: Terrel Wilbourn - At 157 pounds in the nation’s top ranked wrestler with a16-0 record four pins and four major decisions
Hunter Haralson - At 133 pounds is the #4 ranked wrestler nationally with a 17-4 record including five pins
Kyle Jolas - At 165 pounds in the nation’s #8 wrestler sporting a 22-6 record with four pins and three tech falls
Batchka Zulkluu - At 174 pounds has a 19-7 record with six pins on the year

Nebraska-Kearney
The defending MIAA Tournament Champion went 5-0 and earned the dual championship this season and are currently #5 in the country. Currently has five wrestlers ranked nationally with two at the top spot in their weight class.
Wrestlers to watch:  Daniel DeShazer - At 133 pounds ranked #1 in the nation with eight pins and three major falls
Romero Cotton - At 197 pounds ranked #1 in the nation with a 13-1 record and eight pins
Chase White - At 157 pounds is the #4 wrestler in the country with a 16-10 record and six pins
Connor Bolling - At 125 pounds is the #6 wrestler nationally with a 23-11 record and five pins
Keith Surber - At 141 pounds is ranked #7 in the nation with a 17-2 record and eight pins to go along with four major decisions.

Newman
Newman went 0-5 in league duals this season, but have the second ranked wrestler in the nation at 125 pounds.
Wrestlers to watch: Dustin Reed - At 125 pounds he is 22-1 with one pin and five major decisions
Heath Gray - At 174 pounds went 22-10 with four pins and six major decisions
Dalton Weidl - At 197 pounds went 15-5 with a team best seven pins
Kyle Ryan - At 184 pounds went 8-5 and went 4-1 in MIAA duals

Tournament Notes: The MIAA Championship will feature a ranked wrestler in all but two weight classes. At 125 pounds both the #2 and #6 wrestlers will take to the mat. At 133 pounds the tournament will feature the #1 and #4 wrestler in the country. At 157 pounds the #1 and #4 wrestlers in the nation will be on the mat. Nebraska-Kearney will be going for their fourth straight tournament championship as the only team to win since the sport was reinstated in 2013. In the current field Central Missouri has won the most championships with eight, but haven’t claimed the tournament title since 1983.
