Tahlequah, Okla. – A goal in the final minute propelled fifth seeded Lindenwood to a 1-0 victory over fourth seeded Northeastern State in the opening round of the MIAA Women’s Soccer Tournament.
The two teams played 89 minutes of scoreless soccer before Kat Roe scored at 89:15 on the clock. In goal for the Lions Mary McGilvray stopped four shots on eight shots faced on the night.
The Lions move on to face either top seeded Central Missouri or eighth seeded Washburn in the semifinal round on Friday from the campus of the highest remaining seed.
