Lawrence, Kan. – Central Missouri sits five strokes ahead of Central Oklahoma after the first round of the MIAA Men’s Golf Championship from Alvamar Country Club in Lawrence, Kan.
 
UCM carded a 310 as a team on the par 72, 6,829 yard course while UCO turned in a 315 on the day. In third place after the first day of action is Washburn who turned in a 34 over-par 322 top open the tournament.
 
Cy Moritz of Central Missouri is the day one leader for the men after shooting a 74 which places him just two above par. One stroke back of him is Central Oklahoma’s Eric Kline who turned in a 75 on the day. Ryan Dyck of LIndenwood is alone in third place coming in just one stroke back of Kline.
 
The men will take to the course again tomorrow with tee times scheduled for 8:30 a.m. from Alvamar in Lawrence, Kan.
