Defeat Washburn 71-61 to move on in Men's Basketball Tourney

Kansas City, Mo. -- Northwest Missouri held Washburn to .350 shooting from the field in a 71-61 victory in the quarterfinal round of the MIAA Men's Basketball Tournament.
For the Bearcats Justin Pitts led the way scoring a game high 25 points while Zach Schneider added 15 points. Grant Cozad and Matt Wallace each finished with 12 points. On the glass Cozad led with seven boards while Wallace and Conner Crooker each added six rebounds.

For the Ichabods Algie Key led the way scoring 16 points on the afternoon. Christian Ulsaker added 11 points and Kevin House finished with 10 points and four assists. On the glass Alex North led the way with seven rebounds, six of which came on the defensive end.

Northwest Missouri advances to face the winner of #4 Lindenwood and #5 Pittsburg State at 12 noon on March 7 from Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City.
