Kansas City, Mo. – The game needed extra time but a golden goal gave top seeded Central Missouri the 3-2 win in overtime over fourth seeded Fort Hays State.
 
The Jennies got the scoring started in the 32nd minute as Hailey Womack headed a free kick from Callie Henshaw into the net. They grabbed a second goal less than three minutes later as Mikala Modiri scored off a pass from Emily Franchett.
 
The Tigers would cut the lead in half as Kelsey Steffens scored off a Regan Lawler assist in the 41st minute. FHSU would then tie it up in the 76th minute as Cenayda Guzman took a Hannah Jurgens pass that would ultimately force overtime.
 
Megan Woolley would break the tie halfway through overtime as she scored off a Jada Scott assist. In goal Ana Dilkes stopped five shots to pick up her second win of the post season. 
 
Central Missouri will now await the winner of the Central Oklahoma and Northeastern State in the Championship Game on Nov. 8 at 1 p.m. from Warresnburg, Mo.
