UCM faces off with FHSU, UCO takes on NSU

Kansas City, Mo. – The semifinal round of the MIAA Women’s Soccer Tournament is set to get underway on Nov. 6 as the scene shifts to the South Recreation Complex in Warrensburg, Mo.
 
#1 Central Missouri vs. #4 Fort Hays State
Central Missouri will host Fort Hays State in the first of two semifinals scheduled for 4 p.m. from Warrensburg.
 
The Jennies are led by MIAA Offensive Player of the Year Julie Ireland who has 12 goals and one assist. Megan Woolley has 11 goals and Jada Scott has nine goals and four assists. MIAA Defensive Player of the Year Abby Rhodes leads the team with six assists. Between the pipes MIAA Goalkeeper of the Year Ana Dilkes has a 0.32 goals against average and 10 shutouts.
 
The Tigers are led by Cassi Moosburger who has four goals and four assists and Gabrielle Makatura who has two goals and four assists. Second team All-MIAA selection Kelsey Steffens has three goals and three assists. As a team defensively FHSU is allowing just 0.77 goals against this season while keeper Abbie Flax is 5-1-1 in seven starts with four shutouts and a 0.40 goals against average.
 
#2 Central Oklahoma vs. #3 Northeastern State
It will be Central Oklahoma taking on cross state rival Northeastern State in the second semifinal scheduled for a 7 p.m. kick off from the South Recreation Complex.
 
The Bronchos are led by MIAA Freshman of the Year Katie Killion who has 25 points scoring 10 goals and dishing out five assists. Second team All-MIAA selection Kentia Kokis has seven goals and one assist. Fifteen UCO players have scored at least one goal or dished at least one assist this season including first team All-MIAA selection defender Quinn Tookey. In goal Elle Stover has a 1.42 goals against average with an 8-4-2 record on the year.
 
For the RiverHawks first team All-MIAA selection Anastasia Robinson leads the way with 12 goals and nine assists. Fellow first teamer Jennifer Cudjoe has eight goals and seven assists. Julia Mathis has six goals and nine assists while McKenzie Musella has five goals and seven assists. Between the pipes Jordan Woodruff has a 0.80 goals against average with 14 wins and a seven shutouts.
