Edmond, Okla. – Second seeded Central Oklahoma erased an early one goal deficit to pull out a 3-1 win over seventh seeded Nebraska-Kearney in the opening round of the MIAA Women’s Soccer Tournament.
 
UNK got the scoring started in the eighth minute of the game as Kadie Walaszczyk dribbled in for an unassisted goal. UCO would then answer in the 18th minute of the game as Katie Killion took an Ashley McDaniel pass to score from close range and tie the game up.
 
In the 35th minute Quinn Tookey would put the Bronchos in front scoring on a shot from 10 yards out after taking a pass from Victoria Neblett. Killion would then get her second goal of the game in the 54th minute as she scored from 20 feet out off a pass from Morgan Cherry.

In goal for UCO Elle Stover allowed just one goal while making four saves to earn the win.
 
The Bronchos will face the winner of Northeastern State and Missouri Western in a semifinal match-up on Nov. 6 at the highest remaining seed following today’s action.
