Warrensburg, Mo. – Top seeded Central Missouri scored twice in the first half and held on for a 2-1 victory over eighth seeded Washburn to begin the MIAA Women’s Soccer Tournament.
 
UCM got the scoring started in the 14th minute as Megan Woolley scored a goal off a pass from Hannah Pyle. Jada Scott would make it a two goal lead as she scored off the pass from defender Abby Rhodes.
 
Washburn would cut the lead in half as Bailey Wobig scored off a Whitney Skinner pass.
 
In goal Ana Dilkes made three saves to pick up the victory for her team.
 
The Jennies will face Fort Hays State in a semifinal match-up at 4 p.m. on Nov. 6 in Warrensburg, Mo.
