Kansas City, Mo. – The venue will shift to Edmond, Okla. as the MIAA Volleyball Tournament moves into the semifinal round with the top four seeds still in contention.
 
#1 Central Oklahoma vs. #4 Washburn
Top seeded Central Oklahoma will face off with fourth seeded Washburn at 4 p.m. on Nov. 20 from Edmond, Okla.
 
The Bronchos are led by Barbara Jackson who is averaging 3.71 kills per set and MIAA Freshman of the Year Taylor Bevis who averages 3.34 kills per set. Katy Davis is averaging 11.92 assists per set on the year. On the return Whitney Gifford is averaging 6.04 digs per set and Jordan Spence leads the way with 0.97 blocks per set.
 
For the Ichabods Leanna Willer is leading the way averaging 4.08 kills per set while Liz Powell averages 9.03 assists per set. Sarah Vicory is hitting .361 with 2.82 kills and leading the team with 1.10 blocks per set. Alyssa Carney is averaging 5.52 digs per set and Willer is second on the squad averaging 3.25 digs per set.
 
The winner will earn a spot in the MIAA Championship game facing either Central Missouri or Nebraska-Kearney at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 21 from Edmond, Okla.
 
#2 Central Missouri vs. #3 Nebraska-Kearney
Second seeded Central Missouri will take on third seeded Nebraska-Kearney in the second semifinal at 7 p.m. on Nov. 20 from Edmond, Okla.
 
The Jennies are led by MIAA Player of the Year Carly Sojka who is averaging 3.19 kills per set. Kourtney Thompson is averaging 10.46 assists per set set while Maddie Jones is hitting .361 with 3.00 kills per set. On defense Annie Reilly is averaging 5.66 digs per set and Kasey Hohlen leads the team with 0.74 blocks per set.
 
The Lopers are led by Kaitlyn Thomas who is averaging 3.48 kills per set and Annie Wolfe who is hitting .331 while averaging 2.80 kills per set. Erin Seele is averaging 7.22 assists per set as the team’s primary setter. On defense Ellie McDonnell is averaging 4.24 digs per set while Tara Ziegelbein is averaging 0.84 blocks and Kendall Schroer 0.86 blocks per set.
