Match-up of two undefeated teams highlights the schedule

Kansas City, Mo. --
Two of the three undefeated teams will face each other in a game that highlights the week four schedule in MIAA football.

Missouri Western at Lindenwood
Missouri Western will travel to Lindenwood in the CBS Sports Netwrok Division II Game of the Week. The Griffons are led by Raphael Spencer who is averaging 116.3 yards per game rushing with three touchdowns. Skyler Windmiller is 29 for 58 on the year with 298 yards passing and two touchdowns. On defense Stephen Juergens has 33 tackles and Michael Jordan has picked off three passes and MIAA Defensive Athlete of the Week Marc Harrison has a 100-yard interception return. For the Lions Dillon Miller is averaging 191 yards per game through the air with two touchdowns. On the ground Stephen Kaiser and Marvin Byrd have each scored two touchdowns. On the defensive side of the ball Connor Harris has 26 total tackles and has picked off two opponent passes.

#1 Northwest Missouri at Central Oklahoma
#1 Northwest Missouri will travel to Central Oklahoma as two of the league’s remaining unbeaten teams face off in week four. For the Bronchos Chas Stallard is averaging 211 yards per game passing with three touchdowns while averaging 75.3 yards per game on the ground with two scores. Jake Gandara is averaging 91.7 yards per game rushing with one score and Connor Pulley has two touchdown catches. On defense Matt Pruitt leads the team with 20 tackles and Cody Jones has picked off three passes. For the Bearcats Brady Bolles is averaging 251.3 yards per game passing with four touchdowns while also adding three scores on the ground. Phil Jackson is averaging 60 yards per game rushing while scoring a team best five touchdowns. On defense Eric Reimer has 24 tackles and Matt Longacre and Collin Bevins each have three sacks.

Nebraska-Kearney at Central Missouri
Nebraska-Kearney will head to Central Missouri looking for their first win of the season while UCM looks to bounce back. For the Mules LaVance Taylor is averaging 138 yards per game rushing with a team best five touchdowns. At quarterback Hayden Hawk is 59 of 108 for 631 yards and two touchdowns, also adding one on the ground. On defense Ricky Spratley has a team best 33 tackles while Tevin Teamer has two interceptions. For the Lopers Bronson Marsh has thrown for 244 yards and rushed for 178 yards compiling four total touchdowns. Romero Cotton has 198 yards on the ground through three games and has caught a touchdown pass. On the defensive side of the ball Tyke Kozeal is leading the way with 45 total tackles including 3.5 of which have been recorded for a loss.

Fort Hays State at #8 Pittsburg State
Two teams from the sunflower state will face off as Fort Hays State travels to #8 Pittsburg State for the MIAA Television Network Game of the Week. For the Gorillas MIAA Offensive Athlete of the Week Anthony Abenoja is averaging 294.3 yards per game passing with eight touchdowns as well as adding one on the ground. Marquise Cushon is averaging 118.3 yards per game receiving with two touchdowns and Jeff Seybold has two rushing scores and three touchdown receptions. On defense Tyler Disney has 26 tackles including 5.5 for a loss. For the Tigers Treveon Albert has three touchdowns through the air and has rushed for two touchdowns. Edward Smith has rushed for 174 yards and two scores in three games. On defense Brock Long leads the team with 27 tackles and Justin McPhail has 25 tackles and two interceptions.

Emporia State at Northeastern State
Emporia State will look to break a two game losing streak as they head to Northeastern State who is looking for their first win. For the Hornets Brent Wilson is averaging 329.3 yards per game passing with six touchdowns. Austin Willis is averaging 143 yards per game receiving with four touchdowns while Antonio Brown has two rushing scores. On defense Deshawn Dinwiddie has 32 total tackles and Deveon Dinwiddie has two interceptions. For the RiverHawks Kevin Pantastico is averaging 204.7 yards per game through the air with two touchdowns. Garrett Powell and Terrance Dixon have each hauled in a touchdown pass this season. On defense Steffon Herd has 21 total tackles and Jack Gray has three tackles for a loss.

Washburn at Missouri Southern
Washburn will travel to Missouri Southern as both teams will be in search of their second win of the season.  For the Lions both Michael Nelson and Giresse Forchu have found the end zone three times on the ground as the team has nine total rushing scores. Scott Lathrop has a touchdown pass finding Anthony Cannon for a score last weekend. MIAA Special Teams Athlete of the Week Brock Renken has two field goals with a long of 39 yards this season. For the Ichabods Mitch Buhler is averaging 204.7 yards per game passing with five touchdowns. DaJuan Beard has caught 13 passes for 121 yards and three scores. On defense Calvin Kenney leads the team with 28 tackles and Akhmad Abdul-Razzaq has four tackles for a loss.
