Springfield, Mo. – Missouri Western will play in the MIAA Championship game after defeated Central Oklahoma 5-2 in the winner’s bracket semi final. The Griffons racked up 14 hits and scored at least one run in the fourth through seventh innings.

At the plate for MWSU Ryan Degner was three for six with a run scored and a run driven in. Jake Schrader went two for four with two runs scored and Mitch Thorman was three for five with a run scored and one driven in. For the Bronchos Josh Ingram went four for four with a run scored and an RBI.

Jake Jones went six solid innings striking out seven and allowing just six hits to pick up the win.

Central Oklahoma will face Emporia State tonight with Missouri Western scheduled to play in tomorrow’s 11 a.m. championship game.
