Springfield, Mo. – Eighth seed Northeastern State scored eight runs in the eighth inning, but came up shy of the comeback falling 12-11 to fourth seed Missouri Western. The game saw 21 hits and four total home runs between the two teams with MWSU moving on to tomorrow’s game.

For the Griffons David Chew went three for four with three runs driven in. Ryan Degner was one for five with a home run and two driven in. Dylon Koch also homered and drove in three runs going three for three and scoring four runs.

For the RiverHawks Cody Robinson was three for five with a home run and three runs driven in. Kyle Singleton also hit a home run going two for four and driving in two runs.

On the mound Grant Wood pitched eight innings to earn the win and Mason Queen came on to earn a one pitch save.

Missouri Western will face the winner of second seed Emporia State and third seed Central Oklahoma tomorrow at 11 a.m.
