Overland Park, Kan. – Missouri Western exploded for seven runs in the seventh inning as they earned the MIAA Tournament Championship with a 12-0 win over Northeastern State.

At the plate both Kailey Green and Morgan Rathmann hit three run home runs as Rathmann finished with two runs scored. Michelle Stevenson went two for three with a run scored and Sydney McCune also homered. Bre Fleschner was one for three with two runs scored. In the circle Jackie Bishop pitched all seven innings allowing just one hit and striking out 10 on the afternoon.

Missouri Western earns the MIAA’s automatic bid in the NCAA Central Regional, all other teams will await the selection show at 9 a.m. on Monday, May 5.
