Overland Park, Kan. – Northeastern State got another strong pitching performance as they defeated Emporia State to advance to the MIAA Softball Championship. The RiverHawks held the Hornets to just six hits while recording ten of their own.
At the plate for NSU Megan Robison had a home run going three for four and driving in two. For the Hornets Tricia Vogel went one for three and drove in the lone run. Kayce Wooldridge had another stellar pitching performance as she allowed just six hits and walked just one.
Northeastern State and Missouri Western will meet in the MIAA Championship game at 12 noon on May 3 from Blue Valley Recreation Complex.
