Kansas City, Mo. – Fifth seed Central Oklahoma shot .531 from the field as they earned a 83-68 victory over fourth seed Fort Hays State. UCO hit 28 of 34 free throws to earn a spot in the MIAA semi final round.
For the Bronchos Josh Gibbs led the way with 34 points and dished out five assists while Jarred Bairstow led the way with 11 rebounds. Aaron Anders and Cal Andrews each had 12 points, Seth Heckert added 11 points and Phillips Brown finished with 10 points. For the Tigers Jake Stoppel led the way with 15 points also adding three assists. Dwayne Brunson had 12 points a team high five rebounds and James Fleming added 11 points.
Central Oklahoma will face ninth seed Northeastern State in the first of two semi finals at 6:00 p.m. on March 8 from Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Mo.
