Kansas City, Mo. – Eleventh seed Southwest Baptist got a last second shot to pull off a 67-65 upset of third seed Pittsburg State. SBU trailed by six with 2:13 to play in the game and scored nine of the last ten points to advance to the semi-final.

For the Bearcats Jacqui Zelenka had 19 points and pulled down a game high eight rebounds. Lissette Plasencia scored 18 points and Alex Botkin had 10 points including the last five points of the game. For the Gorillas Antqunita Reed scored 16 points and added five rebounds. Lizzy Jeronimus had 13 points and pulled down seven boards and Cathy Brugman added 11 points.

Southwest Baptist will face second seed Emporia State at 2:15 p.m. on March 8 from Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Mo.
