Jennies defeat Southwest Baptist 4-1

Olathe, Kan. – Central Missouri claimed the MIAA Tournament Championship with a 4-1 win over Southwest Baptist.
 
Hannah Pyle got the scoring started for UCM in the in the 19th minute taking a pass from Megan Woolley to make it a 1-0 game. Karla Jamison would answer for SBU in the 35th minute taking pass from Taylor Schmidt for the goal.
 
Alex Yockey would put the Jennies back on top taking a rebound off the crossbar and burying it in the net with an assist given to Megan Woolley. Julie Ireland would then add the first goal of the second period scoring in the 60th minute to make it 3-0 off a pass from Abby Rhodes. Mikala Modiri scored the final goal of the game in the 86th minute scoring off a pass from Ireland.
 
In goal for the Jennies Ana Dilkes stopped six of the seven shots she faced to pick up the win.
 
Central Missouri earns the league automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament and will await the announcement of the field at 6 p.m. on Nov. 10 in the NCAA Selection Show at ncaa.com.
