Olathe, Kan. – Southwest Baptist struck seven minutes into the match to earn a 1-0 victory over Fort Hays State and move on to the MIAA Women’s Soccer Championship Game.
 
Taylor Schmidt scored an unassisted goal in the eighth minute that would prove to be all her team needed. SBU was relentless at the net racking up 12 shots on goal. In goal for the Bearcats Kaitlin Webb stopped the lone FHSU shot.
 
Between the pipes for the Tigers despite allowing the goal Kristen Thompson made a career high 11 saves.
 
Southwest Baptist and top seeded Central Missouri will face off at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 9 from the College Boulevard Activities Complex in Olathe, Kan.
