Kansas City, Mo. -- The teams return from holiday break and hit the ground running in league play as MIAA women's basketball moves into week eight.

#8 Central Missouri will be at home for their next two straight against UNK and WU. The Jennies are led by Keuna Flax who is averaging 20.3 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. BreAnna Lewis is averaging 13.6 points and Shelby Winkelmann11.7 points per game. On the glass Revonnia Howard is averaging 8.3 boards per contest.

Central Oklahoma hits the road in week eight

Central Oklahoma will travel to Northwest Missouri in their only action of week eight. The Bronchos are led by Jill Bryan who is averaging 13.8 points and 5.3 rebounds per game. Julia Mason is averaging 11.3 points and 5.5 rebounds per contest on the season.

#3 Emporia State gets ready to hit the road

Fort Hays State opens 2014 on the road for two straight. The Tigers are led by MIAA Athlete of the Week Kate Lehman who is averaging a double-double with 15.9 points and 11.8 rebounds per game. Katelyn Edwards is averaging 14.3 points and 8.3 rebounds per contest.

Lincoln opens 2014 at home
