Central Missouri at Nebraska-Kearney
Central Missouri and Nebraska-Kearney both ride two game winning streaks into their week nine match-up. The Mules are led by Hayden Hawk who is averaging 297 yards per game passing with 21 touchdowns. Ronrei Lloyd has caught 52 passes for a team best 923 yards and nine touchdowns. On defense MIAA Athlete of the Week Josh Powell has 23 tackles including a team best 4.5 sacks. For the Lopers Romero Cotton has three rushing touchdowns and is averaging 70 yards per game rushing. Luke McNitt has six touchdowns on the ground as well as throwing for two. On defense for UNK Kellen Werner is leading the team with 79 total tackles and Tyke Kozeal has 75 stops along with two interceptions and two fumble recoveries on the year.
#14 Emporia State at #12 Missouri Western
In a battle of top 15 teams #14 Emporia State will take their unbeaten record on the road to #12 Missouri Western. The Hornets are coming off a bye week and are led by Brent Wilson who is averaging 333 yards per game passing with 27 touchdowns also adding three on the ground. Antonio Brown has nine rushing touchdowns while Ray Ray Davis has hauled in 12 touchdown catches. On defense Jordan Sanders has a team best 44 tackles while Chris Poston and Gary Fortune each have three interceptions. The Griffons are led by Travis Partridge who is averaging 200 yards per game passing with 16 touchdowns and also has eight scores on the ground. Raphael Spencer is averaging 121 yards per game rushing with nine scores. Defensively Stephen Juergens leads the way with 64 tackles and John Oglesby has five tackles for a loss.
Lincoln at Central Oklahoma
Lincoln will hit the road in week nine for Central Oklahoma looking to pick up their second win. For the Blue Tigers Jacob Morris is averaging 212 yards per game through the air with nine touchdowns and has also found the end zone three times on the ground. Morris Henderson is averaging 101 yards per game rushing with eight scores. Defensively Kendrick Causey has 92 total tackles and Darius Ford leads the team with five tackles for a loss. For the Bronchos coming off a bye week Joshua Birmingham is averaging 92 yards per game rushing with 11 touchdowns. T.J. Eckert is averaging 92 yards per game passing and Marquez Clark has hauled in five touchdown catches. On defense Adrian Shoecraft has 44 tackles and Kenny Allen leads the way with 6.5 tackles for a loss.
South Dakota Mines at Fort Hays State
Fort Hays State will be looking to make it five wins in a row when they face South Dakota Mines in week nine. The Tigers are led by Treveon Albert who is averaging 178 yards per game passing with 13 touchdowns, adding four scores on the ground. Ed Smith has eight scores on the ground and Keaton Callins has hauled in six touchdown catches. Lindenwood at Missouri Southern
Missouri Southern will look to rebound from back to back losses as they welcome Lindenwood to town in week nine. The Lions are led by Chris Barnwell, Jay McDowell and JJ Jones who each have six touchdown on the ground. Giresse Forchu has five scores on the ground as eight different MSSU runners have found the end zone this season. On defense Gatlin Ridgeway has 66 tackles including a team best 8.5 tackles for a loss. For the Lions Dillon Miller is averaging 274 yards per game passing with 13 touchdowns. Marvin Byrd has seven rushing touchdowns and Alex Robinson has six scores through the air. On defense Clint Koons is leading the way with 54 total tackles while Pierre Desir has pulled down four interceptions this season.
Southwest Baptist at Northeastern State
Southwest Baptist will hit the road for Northeastern State in week nine action. For the Bearcats Joey Dominguez is averaging 136 yards per game passing with four touchdowns. Derwyn Lauderdale has 64 catches for 870 yards and six scores. On defense Shaquille Shedd is has 73 tackles and Johnathan Drury has three fumble recoveries. For the RiverHawks Thor Long is averaging 130 yards per game passing with three touchdowns. On the ground Terrance Dixon has six touchdowns in eight games. On defense Langston Jones has a team best 102 tackles and Kyler Harris and Darrain Winston each have two interceptions.
Northwestern Oklahoma State at #7 Pittsburg State
#7 Pittsburg State will stop out of league play host to Northwestern Oklahoma State during week nine. For the Gorillas MIAA Athlete of the Week Jeff Seybold is averaging 114 yards per game rushing with 15 touchdowns. Anthony Abenoja is averaging 256 yards per game passing with 18 touchdowns adding three on the ground. Defensively Nate Dreiling has 75 tackles, seven tackles for a loss and an interception. For the Rangers Reid Miller has four touchdowns through the air and three on the ground. On defense Alex Hemberger has 60 tackles and two interceptions joined by Kollin Retter with two picks as well.
#8 Washburn at #2 Northwest Missouri
The MIAA Television Network Game of the Week will feature two top ten teams as #2 Northwest Missouri hosts #8 Washburn. For the Bearcats Brady Bolles has seven touchdowns through the air and six touchdowns on the ground this season. Billy Creason has a team high eight rushing touchdowns and Robert Burton has five scores. On defense Eric Reimer has 62 tackles, 10.5 of which are for a loss, to go along with 4.5 sacks. For the Ichabods Mitch Buhler is averaging 259 yards per game passing with 21 touchdowns. Vershon Moore has seven touchdowns on the ground while Cody Heiman has added six rushing scores. On defense Bryce Atagi has 62 tackles, 8.5 for a loss, with five interceptions and one fumble recovery.
