Kansas City, Mo. – Second seeded Washburn held court picking up a 3-1 victory over Fort Hays State in the MIAA Volleyball Tournament.

Marissa Cox led the way for the Lady Blues with 27 kills with a match high .641 hitting percentage. Jessica Fey added 13 kills and Jessica Kopp added 10 kills for WU. Abby Wittman had 38 assists and Courtney Churchman led the team with 23 digs.

Madison Schwartz led the way for the Tigers with a double-double finishing with 17 kills and 19 digs. Taylor Mares had 16 kills and Sara Hewson finished with 10 kills. Kayla Zogleman added a double-double with 50 assists and 12 digs while Makenzie Weinman added 29 digs.

Washburn will face Central Missouri at 5 p.m. on Nov. 16 from Kearney, Neb.
