Kansas City, Mo. – Lindenwood won their first conference title as member’s of the MIAA with a  2-1 win over Southwest Baptist. They are the first of the four teams to join the MIAA for 2012 to take a conference title.

They also earn the top seed in the MIAA post-season tournament, which is set to kick off from Olathe District Activities Center – Soccer Field on Nov. 1. They will face fourth seeded Fort Hays State in the opening round in a match that is scheduled for 7 p.m.

Northeastern State finished second in the league closing out the regular season with a 7-1 victory over Harding. The RiverHawks will face Truman who had the tiebreaker over FHSU to earn the third seed in the tournament. The two teams will open the tournament when they face off at 4 p.m. on Nov. 1.
